Post 06 WK Seat belt recoil issue

Hello all!
First time post since joining.
I have an 06 WK Overland that the drivers side seatbelt doesn't retract/recoil back fast or as fast as I'd like.
Is there a way outside of buying all new? or to adjust it?

Issue is when I unbuckle is it doesn't go back in quick enough before I get out, then it folds over when I step out and then at times it gets shut in the door.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Re: 06 WK Seat belt recoil issue

pull the belt all the way out. get some silicone spray. spray is directly on the belt and move it in and out a few times.

Mine does the same thing,
there were times when I returned to my car I found the belt stopped the door closing properly, so basically I left my door "open" while I was shopping......

I did the spray and it worked! Just do it on a day you can leave all the doors open for a few hours, that smell is pretty bad. Thanks Tom 58
