07 Grand Cherokee with Air Bag light on

I had decided to clean the jeep out and shampoo the seat and carpet. I wanted to clean under the seats so i took them out. I put everything back together and now I have a air big light on. I plugged all the harnesses back up and I even unhooked the battery after I couldn't get the light to go off. Can anyone help me out before I end up taking to the dealer?

always unbolt the negative terminal before unplugging wires. now you have to have the seat recalibrated at the dealer, they charged my body shop $110 to fix it.

Thanks for you quick reply. I guess I learned an expensive lesson. Do you know if the light on means the air bag will not work?

correct, the seat sensor is telling the vehicle that there is no one in the seat. so if you are in an accident the passenger air bag will not deploy.

I did check them three times. Unplugged the battery and nothing so it looks like I'm going to the dealer. Thanks for everyone's help!

07 doesn't have passenger seat weight sensors. That was 2005-2006 only.I would check your connections again. On both seats.Common problem is the wiring to the seat belt buckle/pretensioner.

Re: 07 Grand Cherokee with Air Bag light on

Mine would do this after having school books in it for days. I just hit on it and push up on the bottom of the seat and the light turned off.
