'07 JGC- problem with center control stack lighting at night
I drove my sister's 2007 Grand Cherokee Laredo (which she just bought a few weeks ago) after dark for the first time a few nights ago. The Jeep is in amazing condition (she got it from the surgeon that she works for, only 78k miles on it and always maintained at the dealership which is owned by his wife's family).
But I was a little disappointed to see that there was problem with illumination of the HVAC controls. It looks as if the right half of the controls are lit and the left half aren't. I'm assuming there may be a light on each side and the one of the left is not working. Is that correct? If so, how difficult is it to replace one of the lights...specifically, what has to removed to access it?
The controls for the 'trip computer and settings" which display at the bottom of the speedometer also were not lit. But they are located on the left side of the center stack, so that would support my feeling that the light on the left side needs replacing.
Her Laredo also has Heated Seats and Power Adjustable Pedals and the buttons to control those features are in a strip toward the bottom of the center console. Should those buttons be backlit at night? Because they were totally dark and I had to wait until I stopped at the grocery store to adjust the pedals because they were way too close for me.
Anyone else had part/all of your dash control lighting go out? I could use your input!
