07 WK 3.7l won't start

Went to go to the store yesterday and when I turned the key over, nothing. Noticed when I turn the key off, it says "transmission over temp". Checked all fuses and they are good, and tried changing batteries. Still nothing. Thanks in advance.

Re: 07 WK 3.7l won't start

When you turn the key to RUN, do you get at least the normal instrument lights on? When trying to start, do you hear the fainth click of the starter relay? This relay sits under the hood, so maybe it helps to open the hood so you can hear it better. If no click, then swap the starter relay with an other same relay, just for trouble shooting. If still no click, probably the park/neutral safety switch is the problem. Sometimes it helps to move the shit lever a bit or to just put it in N.
If it does click though, have a look at the small wire on the starter solenoid.
Many times a bad contact there prevents the solenoid from activating.
The transmission overtemp message should not be the cause of it not starting,
even though this message is not normal.
