Hi
I purchased a new GC Overland in December 09, but this has an 08 MyGig in it - 20GB.

As part of the settlement deal with the dealer, I have received a lump sum in respect of the out of date MyGig unit.
My problem is that i cannot get the MyGig to work properly with my iPhone (3g) and I cannot connect my iPod and control through the MyGig.

I am undecided whether to purchase a newer model MyGig (would probably have to get it from the US if that is possible (or pay the inflate dealer price) or replace the MyGig with a third part unit such as the Pioneer ACIC F10BT. This seems to do everything that the MyGig does plus a bit more.

However I am concerned that there will be connectivity issues with different connectors etc.

Any ideas / thoughts / advice / comments very much appreciated

Thanks
A:)

yep....if ya want a new MyGig the dealer or a good salvage yard is your best bet. I would try salvage first.

As far as the pioneer...there are harnesses you can buy to make it plug and play. One of the audion guys will chime in soon.

i have the pioneer avic f90BT and love it.

the interfaces and such can get expensive. depends if you want sat radio? that was costly to add. i have the steering controls working i have all the factory amp, speakers, kicker sub, etc connected to the avic.

let me know i can dig up the interface list. although I have an 07 so part numbers could be different.

I myself perfer the factory units better.

I had a Pioneer Nav/Sat unit in my F250 and it just did not compare to the factory units in my other vehicles.
