Re: 13.3 mpg; too little?

I just drove 2 hours each way from MA to CT and got 20.5 going down and 20.0 coming back (with a small traffic holdup). 08 HEMI, couldn't be more pleased! I'd say you have issues with you mileage. If I romp around town i get 12, and that's really hammering down.

Re: 13.3 mpg; too little?

I'm getting 18.4 right now and this weekend I'll be cleaning my k&n and putting new spark plugs In so I can't wait to see my mpg afterwards. Idk why my jeep is getting pretty good mileage ( for a jeep ) hahaha not complaining though!
Spark plugs and clean intake provide a better mpg, but with only 17000 miles on yours, idk..

Re: 13.3 mpg; too little?

I'm pushing around 15-16 in the city...18-22 on the highway. One day it even told me I was getting 25 on the highway.

But occasionally when my foot gets heavy, that dreaded 11-12 mph shows up on the display.

EDIT: remember that number is an average of all your driving since the last reset, so if you jump on the interstate and have been in town for the last 100 miles, hit the reset button to get a more accurate MPG. The best way to judge your MPG is of couse your odometer and gas used when you fill back up. That will give you a pretty close average which in mine is around 17-18

Re: 13.3 mpg; too little?

The wife (ultimate granny driver) gets about 17 city. All short trip driving too. She'll get in the low 20's on the highway. No mods, just a K&N panel filter and regular maintenance.

AGREED!!! i think its because the 3.7L has to work a little harder to its fat ass going lol i thought i was gonna get better mpg with the smaller engine, apparently not

has anyone seen the size of the transmission on the wk's? im guessing that alone is a few thousand pounds! lol not that its a bad thing
