1999 Grand Cherokee | I6 4.0 Airintake?!

Hey everyone,
I need opinions and some links sent to me on here.

My question is, I want the most power going to my straight V6 4.0L.

My first bet is the K&N Airintake.

I want to get a Supercharger. Any ideas? But i want to make sure it will even work, or its worth getting if it doesnt work at all.

Kennel Belle or something like that.

Thanks!

Re: 1999 Grand Cherokee | V6 4.0 Airintake?!

I know there is a K&N FIPK available for the 4.0 but I don't know about a supercharger kit.

Kenne bell used to produce for the WJ but it's discontinued and was only available on the 4.7 V8. You'd probably need to get some kind of custom setup done.

What mods have you done so far?

I know there is a supercharger kit for the 4.0L in the TJ and even XJ I believe... don't see why that wouldn't work with the WJ.

haha. Oh yeaaaah. lol.

Hmmm, The only thing i have on it is a Flowmaster 50 series. lol.
Now I'm getting a cold air intake for it. K&N 57 Series Gen II.

But I'm wondering if theres something that brings more power than the K&N.

Dannnng Andy....you're getting ready to spend some serious money when you're talking super/turbochargers....you're looking at thousands of dollars for either set up...

IMHO...I'd say throw a K&N intake on it...and call it a day....are you planning on keeping the WJ forever?

Re: 1999 Grand Cherokee | I6 4.0 Airintake?!

There is no Bolt ON turbo for the I6. I have a few friends who have made their own setups and its not easy.

There is however a few different Super Charger kits out there running about $2000 to 3500 for the kit un installed.

Re: 1999 Grand Cherokee | I6 4.0 Airintake?!

Prove to be mistaken regarding the supercharger kit!

Kits running $2>3.5 + labor for installation is a lot of coin though. But if you've got the money or want something to aim for, hell I'd go for it (assuming your happy with all the other bits on your Jeep)!!!

Haha, nvm. K&N Intake will do fine for me, and a program chip.
