Smile 2" inch lift+ need alignment?

I'm about to get my 2" inch Rocky Road lift installed this week and I was wondering if I need to have an alignment done after the install? Will I have any issues with anything like esp after install? Thanks

Re: 2" inch lift+ need alignment?

i'd say get it just to be safe. Dont even bother cheaping out when you can get an alignment for 75$ here at least. Better safe then sorry. But that's just me.

Re: 2" inch lift+ need alignment?

I noticed the handling was brutal after my RC lift, but after the alignment, it's quite a noticeable improvement.

Re: 2" inch lift+ need alignment?

^^ YES.. I had noticeable wear issues after I changed the front struts to bilsteins then I got an alignment and it fixed the issue.

Re: 2" inch lift+ need alignment?

I was informed by the guys at kevinsoffroad that an alignment is needed, even with the daystar leveling kit. Its not needed immediately, but soon.

I am going for the lifetime alignment at firestone. The gal at kevinsoffroad investigated, found a nearby firestone and even sent me a $10 coupon from firestones website.

Re: 2" inch lift+ need alignment?

after my lift I did'nt do the aligment immediately...I procrastinated about a month and a half haha, but after the alignment I felt a big improvement! especially if you drive on the highway alot (me) again you dont have to do it the same day you lift it, but get to it asap

Re: 2" inch lift+ need alignment?

Even when I do really minor suspension work I always get an alignment. It will keep the front end parts from wearing prematurely, and the cost of new tires is gonna be a hell of a lot more than the 60-100 for an alignment.

Re: 2" inch lift+ need alignment?

Any time I do work to the suspension or steering, I always get an alignment as soon as I can to prevent wear issues on the tires and the Jeep.
