I have a V8 limited Grand Cherokee with dual zone controls. About 6 weeks ago my a/c suddenly stopped working. I took it in and found out that the compressor was bad. I had that replaced but when I went to pick it up I noticed that the A/C was blowing cold on the driver's side, but not the passenger or the backseat. So I took it back in. It was recharged and given dye and was told that the expansion valve wasn't opening properly, so I had that replaced. I picked it up yesterday and it seemed to be cold but now I notice that it's not blowing as hard out of the vents. (On high it is blowing at what medium speed used to be). Today I've noticed that it's just not as 'ice cold' as it used to be, especially not on the passenger's side. It does seem to get colder as I accelerate. Please please offer me any tips or advice that you may have.
how does your radiator look? sometimes bugs and things get in there and stop the circulation of coolant i believe i heard engine cleaner or brake cleaner spray it on and hose off
You mean the Condensor? That's infront of the Radiator. Make sure it's not blocked and clean. You can rinse it with water, but don't bend the fins. Since you havea Limited it's Dual Climate Control, so check your other Knob and see if it's in a Cold Operable Position.
I just checked the condenser and it's perfectly clean....not a single bug or anything stuck on it. Any other ideas? It's cold on the driver's side (not ice cold) and cool on the passenger's (cooler than just the fan, but nothing like A/C).
I have a 2002 jeep grand cherokee 4.7 v8, drivers side heat works, passenger side only blows cold air, blower motor resister was replaced and heater blend door actuator was replaced and still doesnt work for the passenger side. Any idea why its not working.
