2005 jeep grand cherokee 4.7 viberation i need help.

I have a 2005 jeep grand cherokee 4.7 4wd 160k on it when you are going at highway speeds in a high gear cruising jeep is fine but lets say you slow down a bit still in high gear press gas just a little to pass someone. Whole jeep vibrates feels like rumble strips. It does this at other speeds to even going up hills when you just give it a Little gas. I checked driveshafts cant find anything same with tires no play or anything

What can this be its driving me nutz i check tranny fluid ect shifts fine to so dont think its the tranny.

If it's what I think it is.....(if you have the Hemi) it may be just the nature of the beast. My 2010 has that sound/feeling much less since I switched to fully synthetic oil. Here is a interesting article on the subject.
Twice-Tuned Hemi

Oops! My bad. I see you have the 4.7...Sorry!

Can be that the torque converter clutch is causing the vibration. At constant highway speeds, the clutch is fully engaged, but when accelerating, it should release fully. Maybe the clutch is getting bad and cause the vibration.

I had someone tell me this so i tried 2 things of Dr. Tranny Instant Shudder Fixx everyone says it works great i thought their would be a Slight difference but it didnt do a dam thing so idk i have dumped a ton of money already trying to fix this pos lol I think im going to pull both driveshafts check them over hard to tell on truck and flush the transfer case and possibly the tranny and see what happens.... For the transfer case i got the oil is their antything i have to add to it like the rear end? its the quadra treck one that kicks in when you slip.

Re: 2005 jeep grand cherokee 4.7 viberation i need help.

I had this same problem. I would try to get on the gas after going 35 and the limit jumps to 55mph. The car would hesitate and kind of shudder and then take off. I just had my trans filters replaced and everything seems to be fine so far. No hesitation and smooth up and down shift, even when stepping on the gas after a sudden slow down. The filters were preventing the pump from obtaining the right pressure. So make sure to check those filters and your line pressure, may have a crack or plugged filter.

Same thing happened with me and my 3.6 liter. They flushed the trans fluid and it worked for an it then it kept doing it again. I just took it back and said they didn't fix the problem and the dealership ended up getting my a new torque converter and rebuilt transmission. I haven't driven it yet since I'm in college and it's at a dealership at home but I heard it has stopped doing it. I will post updates from once I drive it.
