Hi, pity nobody replied to your problem. I am seriously considering getting a 2007 GC 4.7. The 2007 model was the last 4.7 available in South Africa, so they are going at a very cheap price.

I just found your thread after a search for the trouble code - I'm having a similar issue with my '05 4.7L. How did you determine it was off by 1 tooth on the drivers side? Did you have to tear the whole front apart again or were you able to figure that out by just removing the valve cover? If I remember correctly, you can't really give the secondary tensioners any slack or they'll fully extend and you'll end up having to take it apart and redo the entire timing all over.

Were you hearing any ticking or tapping coming from the engine before you fixed the timing?
