2007 3.7 Auto WK Maintenance

T-CASE

NV140
Quadra-Trac I 1.4 pts. (22.4 oz./0.7 qts.)

Automatic Transmission Fluid

MoparŪ ATF+4, type 9602
(p/n 05013457AA quart MSRP $7.42)
(Usage of other fluids/lubricants is not recommended)
Transfer case drain plug torque: 15-25 ft. lbs/20-34 N·m

Is there a better fluid to use? I am pretty sure this is the correct transmission since it is a 3.7

AXLE

MoparŪ SAE 75W-140 Synthetic (API-GL5)
Mopar p/n 04874469 (MSRP $30.00 per quart)

Axle cover bolt torque:

Front and rear axle drain plug torque: 44 ft. lbs/60 N·m
Front axle cover bolts: 41 ft. lbs/56 N·m
Rear axle cover bolts: 30 ft. lbs/41 N·m

I was thinking of using Mobile 1, would that be ok? I think I read on here somewhere to not put synthetic oil in the diffs..
Also is there a gasket that can be used for the rear instead of using sealant? If so where do I find it?

If there is anything that I am missing please let me know, such as plug gasket or something like that. Thanks

Re: 2007 3.7 Auto WK Maintenance

You got it down right, transfer case I will use the ATF+4 from any reputable maker

The gear oil some have used amosoil and some have used royal purple and other brands and no complaints at all they're all about the same price except for at the stealership some of them come with the limited slip additive which will do no harm to ur ride

as far as the casing goes in the rear I took mine apart cleaned it and put it back on, and it's fine doesn't take long at all

cool thanks for the heads up. Now it got me thinking, my GF got a quote from Goodyear for a service. They said on the quote that they would be using 75w-140 synethic oil...got me thinking, do I have the QT I or QTII? I am guessing I can check somehow by using my VIN.

Re: 2007 3.7 Auto WK Maintenance

you have QTI since it's a 3.7L and I have the same exact ride and used the following

T-case - 1 Quart of ATF+4 Mopar trans fluid

Axles - 4 Quarts of Royal Purple 75-140 Automatic gear oil
Sealant
Goo gone or 3M adhesive remover to remove the old sealant

Took me about 2 hours to do all of them so it's not hard at all you need 14 and 10 mm allen wrenches and some regular wrenches

Re: 2007 3.7 Auto WK Maintenance

Also it states that the front diff is 57.5 oz = 1.8 qt and the rear is 70 oz = 2.2 qt and then the T-case is .7 qt...

Can anyone confirm these amounts before I buy gear oil and get dirty? They seem really low volumes to me.
