2007 Overland Front Diff bushing question

I have a 2007 Overland and recently went to the dealer for simple service they did an inspection and said my front diif bushing was cracking. I have 38,000 miles on it and rarely take it off road. Is this something I have to worry about is it rubber or metal? How much of a a job is this?

Thanks

Re: 2007 Overland Front Diff bushing question

A common problem on the WK AWD, which is why they check it during inspection. Mine went bad about that same mileage, and mine never goes offroad either. You are likely feeling vibrations during accelleration and that is why. You need to get it replaced asap, or you may end up having to replace much more expensive parts.
