Re: 245/70-17 BridgeStone REVO 2s Installed...

Boy i am jealous of you now. We got 9 inches of snow yesterday, the wet heavy kind and my Stock tires suck in it.

The powdery stuff is not bad with the stock tires but after it turned to rain 9 inches of wet snow and Forteras dont mix.

Be sure to let us all know how your jeep does in the snow.

What is the tire size calaulator that you used? id like to play with some tire sizes before i get new ones.

There are many tyre size calculators out there

I use http://www.etyres.co.uk/tyre-size-calculator.htm

Re: 245/70-17 BridgeStone REVO 2s Installed...

Quick little review...

I drove in the snow we got the other day and they did AWESOME! MUCH, MUCH, MUCH better than the stock SRAs!

On my drive to VA, about 6 and a half hours or so, I did notice a 1-2mpg drop from the last time I made the trip with my SRAs!

Yes but you need to cut the end off the BOLT that is above the front tire. You will also have some minor rubbing issues. This is not my personal experience but what i have read on Jeepsunlimited.com. Many people have used the stock rubi tires with stock wheels.

No reply from Bridgestone (UK) so I can only presume these tires are not availbale in the UK

Anybody tried the General Grabber AT2?

Shipping to the UK is so expensive

General Grabber AT2's have great reviews in Tirerack and are easily available and at a very good price, less than 100 GBP

I can get them in 265/65 R17 which would fit well, look good and are a T speed rating so acceptable to me insurance company

See http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....l=Grabber+AT+2 for reviews, all seem in favour

Do 265's fit without modification???
