265/70/17 Tire advice!

I am currently running Kelly Safari Msr tires that are 265/70/17. I am getting ready to replace with General Grab. ATs. A local tire place said they would sell me Perelli Scorpion ATRs for buy 3 get 1 free. So it would be like $600.00 give or take for the Perellis mounted and balanced which sounds pretty sweet. So far I have found good reviews on them. Anyone here running the Perellis? I do off road, pull trailers, and drive long distance often. What would be the better buy? Any info would help. Thanks, Justin.

Re: 265/70/17 Tire advice!

I can't say anything about that specific tire, but I can tell you that I had a bad experience with Pirelli and will never buy another tire from them...

I purchased four brand new Pirelli Scorpion Zero 255/55/19 tires and one of the tires was egg shaped. Pirelli requested that I send the tire back to their facility and allow Pirelli to diagnose the egg shape tire before they would honor the warranty and replace the tire. I asked them if they'd allow a local tire shop of their choice to inspect the tire and confirm it so I wouldn't go 3+ weeks without my tire. They declined. I then asked them if I could buy another one of their tires and once they confirmed the tire I sent back to them was egg shaped, they refund me for the egg shaped tire or for the new tire I purchased. They declined.

In the end, I gave the tires back to the merchant and disputed the charges on my credit card and it all worked out for me... the merchant probably got screwed on the deal, but I have no idea. I felt bad for the merchant because they weren't at fault.

Re: 265/70/17 Tire advice!

I personally would spend a little extra and buy some michelin's or nitto's

ok cool. The buy 3 get 1 free sounded good. But I like my tires round, not egg shaped! ha, thanks.
