last I heard american racing headers had some...but were pricey. You may have better luck getting an exhaust shop to make a custom set.

Custom headers setup is going to cost you a pretty coin,I think it would be worth it purchase some but if you can find a shop that will do it for a good price then git-r-done.I think the American Racing headers are a grand...

actually no..the thing is alot of the people on some of these sites dont realize that you dont need to drop a $1k to get something nice. ive built plenty of cars and have worked with enough to know that a great set doesnt cost more then $500. many highly named companys dont break the $500 mark, and most offer a "shorty" header that still gives you gains and will bolt to the stock exhaust.

today, i got an email back from BBK, they said they are having there chief engineer see if he can do something.

Also i was looking at a fellow students Ram 1500 today, the shorty manifolds on his truck look damn near the same as ares...so worse comes to worse i might look into that.

well....when none are made...then you cant get some for $500. But if you have connections to some of the manufacturers...then you may do it. Please keep the 5.7 guys updated

Good luck Jon,I hope your headers problems are fixed.I remeber when I bought headers for my Monte SS they where 499 from Jegs lol.Times have changed...and that was only 5 years ago.

Get some srt8 exhaust manifolds and you are set! I just installed a complete srt8 exhaust on my 09 and it made a huge difference. Stock exhaust manifolds are pretty restrictive and make some very sharp turns exiting the head. Long tube headers on a mostly stock 5.7 would not be worth it in my opinion. Use a bigger cam, porting, etc and I would say yes but my jeep feels a ton stronger with just a a CAI, Diablosport 93 tune and srt8 exhaust with no resonators..... I will get this thing to the track soon but I expect no problem hitting 13's in the 1/4.... stock HP rating was 357 and I figure over 400 now..... FWIW, 09 heads have the "D" port exhaust that matches the port window shape perfectly for the srt8 headers.... TBF

This is not my first time modifying a vehicle my friend....long time Mopar tuner here, big and small block....... track numbers will tell the story for sure but my seat of pants gauge leads me to believe that the K&N CAI,DS Tune, and full srt8 exhaust is worth at least 40HP..... I am astounded at the difference in power and response those 3 changes have made on a stock 09 5.7..... i am not sure of the cam specs of this engine as it does have the VVT and I would like to know what the specs are with and without the VVT operating.... I see some new cams have just come out in the .560 range and think I should get some nice gains from a cam upgrade as well. Stock cam is very, very smooth and I'm sure lift and duration are both quite mild........ TBF

Here is an idea....

Buy a pair of these:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...r_id=146663979319&ua=WXI7&itemid=150488104151

They are OBX brand, which from my research are outsourced Kooks (knock-offs).. They are still made of 304 stainless and I have seen great reviews all over the webz.

Then you have to worry about the port matching... 555ctsv just bought the 6.1 gasket and went with it.

If you have 09 heads, they will fit

Maybe someone can contact obx and ask them to make a few sets with the 5.7 flange from the LX's so we can buy them.
