A/C Controls Not Working?

Anybody know how I can fix my A/C controller? It only works on one setting? I can't switch back and forth to other settings such as defrost, legs, front. Any ideas? Is this common?

Re: A/C Controls Not Working?

There's been many discussion on this problem and several different solutions. Try using the Search tool for "A/C." It will then search the entire forum for that or any other keywords you use.

Some say its a directional control door/flap that is stuck or has gone bad. This will cause it to only send the air in one direction.

Re: A/C Controls Not Working?

do it only blow on high too? if so then replace your blower resistor. i had this exact problem about a week ago. remove the glovebox and it will be right in front of you.

Yes, it only blows on the highest setting. Thanks for the advice. I'll go buy one today. I have to remove the entire glove box? I've actually changed one of those on a grand am and it worked for a problem similar to this one.

Re: A/C Controls Not Working?

advance auto has them for like $8 they are $35 at the dealer. you only have to remove the glove box door. make sure the harness is not melted, if it is...... the dealer sells a repair harness that you could splice in to hte factory wiring.
