Hey man that looks absolutely great!! Came out a lot better than mine!

And just to let you know, they hold up great through the salt, sand, and snow when going snowboarding. I have a house in upstate NY that I frequently take 3 hour round trips to and even with the lips of my wheels lacking plasti-dip in some spots (my fault), they still look amazing, and have not peeled.

Re: A day of fun...Debadging and Plasti Dippin the Wheels!!

Yup they held up great today! Ankle strap broke snowboarding so we cut the day short. (got vouchers too haha) After the snow and lil rocks and after an hour of romping (had to w a short day of riding) they look great!! Even took a microfiber cloth and wiped em off. and still superb! They held up wonderfully!!! So those who are thinkin of plasti dippin...DO IT!!!

Great thread guys. I am getting a WK back after selling my old one and was thinking about plastidipping my wheels when I get my new tires put on and this thread made the decision that much easier. Any tips for application??

The look good from here, glad to hear that they're holding up! When you went up to ride, where did you go?

Def take the wheels off for better coverage. Also, patience and letting the coats dry properly helps a whole lot! Otherwise its an easy and fun MOD!

The crappy local Mt High in Wrightwood. It sucks but its close and I wanted to ride! Going to Mammoth next weekend though and that's one hell of a mountain!

Re: A day of fun...Debadging and Plasti Dippin the Wheels!!

Yes indeed it is.. too bad it's such a pain in the ass to get there from SF.. I want to fly out there before the season ends.

I don't get how the plasti dip is so easy to scratch off if you end up not liking them but at the same time, it's so durable. How is this?

My friend lives in sf too and he'd rather come to LA and drive w us than fly there. Mammoth has so much snow too. Damn!!!

Plasti dip is the shit. Dunno why it's so good but it is! I bet it could pretty much cure cancer and aids. Maybe :P
