Ok so Im about to have a month with My Lauredo. And it has stalled before in between times usually when Im parking. The car started back up fine, No problem I thought, but today my car stalled about five times in stop and go traffic usually while my foot was on the brakes. I started it back up with no problems. Ok so I know from a previous post that A tune-up might get my car into better shape, but I have some questions. Until I can get my car checked next week will the stalling on this automatic Jeep cause any damage to my vehicle? What steps can I as the owner take in order to get rid of this stalling issue. I have to see what I can do, as much as I hate to say it before I take it back to the dealer and have them check it under it's warranty. I would take it to another mechanic, which I think it's better, or start doing maintenance work on the vehicle myself, but money is a factor since the outrageous car payments and Insane insurance payments followed by the inflated gas prices has left me, well pretty much broke. As soon As I get extra money I will start performing maintenance work on my vehicle.
Also I got a service electricalbrakes on the dash today, it dissapeared as soon As I restarted the vehicle but after that it's when it started stalling even more. I also ran for codes and I didn't get anything back. I also bought gum out, a fluid to mix with the gas that's supposed to clean out my cars system in hopes that it does something positive until I can do something else. Thanx for help advice and suggestions.
