I am looking to add exhaust to my 05 4.7 wk and was curious if i can just purchase a muffler to make it sound deeper and more agressive. I am looking for a cheap way to deepen the sound so i was hoping this is all i need.
This is what I had on my Jeep until it got totaled. Then I got blamed for alot of the accident right off the bat because i was "speeding" although I was slowing down and all people could hear was the downshift.... but anyways back on subject lol http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000XQM1KS sounds very nice on the 4.7
I went to the local shop and they ordered it and put it on for me. It was the Flowmaster 50. I have no idea what the part number would be or anything like that.
currently i have a 22" magnaflow on my WK. i went magnaflow over FM as ive had both over the past few years and the FM gets loud after awhile, the magnaflow also did more for me in the butt dyno. i have a aftermarket throttle body and a tuner to go with it. she is relatively tame at cruising speeds but when you get on her, def can tell it has an exhaust. if you want something that doesnt have too much of an annoying drone at cruising speeds id go a larger muffler- the 22" magnaflow is 4" shorter than stock.
Yea once you get the muffler and tip take it to the shop tell them you want to replace your muffler and put the tip on. I think mine cost me $150-170 total without a tip...
The only problem I had was the guy didn't take a card and i didnt have but $20 on me... I figure everyone takes a card these days I never have cash... lol
and just noticed people commenting on it saying how it has the great stock sound to it... uhhhhh thats not what i want. should i be concerned and return it for a different one?

If you are talking about the reviews on amazon then i would disregard them... the application is not on a V8 on either of those rides. Magnaflow is known for having a modest tone and not so loud and obnoxious, but let us know how you like it... thats a great price!
The tip i bought online was a little too long so i had to buy one from the shop but overall i spent about 150 at the muffler shop to install the muffler, exhaust tip, and the tip itself. Not a bad deal. But it sounds AWESOME. very deep and aggressive just how i had wanted it. Will post pictures soon.
