Re: ADVICE!! buying a 05 JGC limited hemi - maybe

Thats a little to pricey for the miles/year. You should look around some more or hang the dealership by their balls to come down on the price a bit.

Re: ADVICE!! buying a 05 JGC limited hemi - maybe

I just got mine a few months ago. '05 Limited Hemi. Has a few minor fixes that were needed, and had 50k miles so a couple minor paint imperfections (rock chips, etc.), but no door dings!
Paid $15,500 plus TT&L financed at 4.24%

Re: ADVICE!! buying a 05 JGC limited hemi - maybe

Ok... so we went and test drove the jeep. the thing is in excellent condition... drove like new, looked like new... This is what i found out...
1. They do a 101 point inspection
2. put on 4 new tires, brakes, oil change of course
3. include a 3 month 4500 mile warranty.
4. clean carfax
5. it was a leased vehicle

ALSO ( im a salesman and found out some info from the new car sales guy)
1. the vehicle has been on the lot about 3 weeks not much interest
2. the vehicle was purchased at the auto auction

My question
1. What do you think i could get it for out the door? (they're asking $18,500)

Re: ADVICE!! buying a 05 JGC limited hemi - maybe

I would offer $15,000 cash for the car. Also, tell them to quote you on an extended warranty. For $18,500, you can get a much newer GC.

Re: ADVICE!! buying a 05 JGC limited hemi - maybe

same scenerio here... Listed for 16.5 walked out with it b4 tax for 10.5k
i told them you sell it to me and stop paying a note on it since no one wanted a gas gussler during the cash for clunkers event. and they let me go with it.
wish the same for you

How so, is this if you have a 7y/70k warranty that you had transferred over?

I bought mine with 35k on it and right now it has 52k and transferred the 70k warranty over within the first month like the owner's manual says. How would I go about getting another 10k miles out of it?

Re: ADVICE!! buying a 05 JGC limited hemi - maybe

Got my 07 GC Overland 5.7 4x4 FULLY loaded on Sept 30.

45k miles and it was from a 3 year lease.

Super clean inside and out. No dings, scratches, dirt or anything at all! It had a full inspection, carfax was clean and had reg maintenance every 3k miles!

They wanted $24k but I got them down to 21k PLUS they took my f-1shitty w 4 payments left!

I also got them to give me an updated nav DVD and I added a 100k full bumper to bumper AND all computer stuff warranty. Basically she's fully covered. Warranty ends at 146k miles. All this for an extra $5 a month!! (talked em down)

Probably the best deal I have ever got and I freaking love this lil monster!

Once you go Jeep you'll, never go for a heap! :P

Thx
Coop

Re: ADVICE!! buying a 05 JGC limited hemi - maybe

Same thing happened to me when I was looking for mine last year. Dealer wouldn't move at all on the price or throw in any extras (Jeep had been on the lot for a while). Just left then, salesman never even called back to try to make a deal. Ended up finding the one I bought on craigslist, which I never considered prior to that dealer experience. Good luck finding a Grand Cherokee.
