I need brakes. I'm not crazy about cutting rotors so I was thinking about going with new rotors and pads. I'm not really looking to upgrade just want to replace stockers. (Maybe upgrade pads) What and where do you guys suggest I look???

I thought drilled and slotted don't last as long. I really just want to replace the stocks cause I hear horror stories with drilled and slotted.

Ive had my R1 Concepts Drilled and slotted rotors and Posi Quiet pads for months now with very little dust, no noise (knock on wood) and great stopping power.

BUT if you dont want that, you can get th zinc plated STOCK replacement rotors from R1 as well. Benefit from these vs other manufacturer is they are zinc plated and look nicer longer and dont rust as fast or at all.

I got the Zinc plated drilled and slotted with the Posi Quiet ceramic pads and i plan to get the same thing once these wear out.

nate......rockauto.com

they have plain rotors, fancy rotors, upgrade, downgrade, they got it all

and VERY CHEAP.

for pads, I would go with HAWK HPS. I am almost done a second set on my XJ and the third set is already bought. LOW DUST, NO NOISE, dont eat rotors...........cant go wrong.

The problem with drilled rotors is on road racing tracks; a big no no. I recall after running hot laps at Autobahn CC, a miata was parked next to my SHO that just pulled off, and after a few minutes, 2 distinctive clinks were heard; those were both of the miata front drilled rotors cracking.
