Found out that for the 2010 model, Jeep changed the size of the coolant reservoir compared to the 2005-2009 models.
This in turn prevents the aFe housing from mounting to the bottom half of the factory airbox. Also, the hose going from the reservoir to the radiator is too tight going around the housing.
Is there any known technical issue for the change in the coolant tank? Or was it a matter of Jeep changing the OEM company yielding a different style tank?
Aside from the aFe engineers having to redesign the aluminum housing for the 2010 which might take a miracle to happen, there is one other solution.
That would be to order a pre-2010 reservoir and swap it in, plus purchasing a longer coolant hose. This is all providing there is no reason why not to do this.
