AFE Stage 2 CAI - clearance issue??

Taking advantage of a rainy Saturday to get some mods done - pics will follow later.

Got a question about an AFE Stage 2 CAI for the 5.7 - got it all installed, but the fit on the OEM air box bottom is not the best. Now I am noticeing that it appears to be coming into contact with the underside of the hood when it's closed.

Anyone else experience this issue or know a fix??

OK, never mind - got it worked out. Ended up having to loosen the OEM air box bottom to get the AFE upper piece to fit correctly.

Thanks for all of the input!!!

Re: AFE Stage 2 CAI - clearance issue??

I have a small part of contact on my 4.7. It is on the piping that goes from the air box to the resonator box. It is about 1"x1/2" patch that looks a bit dusty every time I open the hood. A little pressure with a wet finger takes it right off. No problems besides that.
