On my 2005 3.7l v6 if i throw a cold air intake onto it, how much of a difference would i see with mpg?

In my experience with my 5.7L putting on a CAI provides a horsepower gain and a throaty sound but will not necessarily increase MPG's. Some have already stated that they have seen a measurable increase in mileage, I am just saying that I didn't with my engine. If you do get a boost in MPG's consider it a bonus but don't expect to see one and make that your reasoning for purchase. With that said I am happy with my CAI and would not go back to the stock system.

Poor example. That is a rear mounted intake and having a CAI like in the jeeps are complete opposites. And also a car that is made for performance. As I stated above I was not meaning an Italian sports car.

And look at the lines from the body and to the intake. They are HUGE. You are proving my point. Your untitled to your own opinion, I'm only stating mine and CAI's do more than only make a loud sucking noise.

"Our systems are built for horsepower. In fact on the 2003 Ford Mustang SVT® we get an impressive 30 horsepower. If we can’t increase a car or truck's horsepower we won’t build a system for it.* It’s that simple.* We establish a stock baseline horsepower with our in house dynamometers and then design our air intakes to get the largest horsepower gain attainable without causing a “Check Engine Light” to come on. Our horsepower numbers are not based on the single biggest gain from one particular vehicle but are an average of runs and vehicles.** Many times an identical vehicle will perform differently so we want to ensure repeatable numbers you can count on.* In today’s market place there are some pretty big cold air intake claims. We don’t make claims; we present the facts, backed up by well documented tests."

I rest my case.:D
