Airbag Light

Guys,

I was off-roading yesterday, and my bumper hit the ground, I heard the sound of the airbag, and airbag gas filled the car, the airbag light comes on, I was so happy when i found that all the airbags are still in, it doesn’t popped out. Only a gas smell and the airbag warning light on.
My question is, if I take It to the dealer, will they just reset the warning or it needs to replace the airbag?

Re: Airbag Light

I would guess they are going to have to replace the whole airbag assembly. I do not believe there is a way to "recharge" the propellant used...be warned, airbags aren't cheap!

Re: Airbag Light

yes it is expensive, I will try to reset the warning in any garage have that tool,
if it doesn’t work I will keep it like this, but I will disconnect the airbag light bulb from the dash, that will be cheaper but less safe
