Re: airbag light

I'm having the same problem. Sometimes both airbag lights come on, sometimes the passenger light does not illuminate when there is nothing in the seat, and sometimes when there is a passenger everything appears to be working as it should.

Since there is no fuse for the airbag, I guess I'll start with checking the wiring under the seat, then a battery disconnect.

Is the wiring for the airbag clearly discernable from that of the heater? And while I'm on heated seats; do WK seats heat the back portion of the seat as well, or just the bottom?

To update what I said earlier...after some testing both airbag lights come on only when there is no passenger, or light objects in the seat. If there is someone sitting in the passenger seat, no warning lights illuminate. Anyone have any ideas?

Re: airbag light

So as of late when I put my backpack or light objects in the front seat the passenger airbag light illuminates as it should. (used to not do this) Thing is I haven't done anything to fix it. No reset, battery disconnect, nothing.

How am I supposed to trust that my airbag system (pretty important I'd say) is now working properly when it changes without intervention?

Re: airbag light

I have the same problem. I took out my passenger seat though about 4 months prior to install my stereo. Did anyone else remove their seat before this started? I figure mine needs to be recalibrate. Any guess on costs?

Re: airbag light

Yup...same problem here! Jeep has been fine up until today, then all the sudden if nobody is in the seat the red airbag light in cluster comes on along with the amber pass. airbag light above climate control comes on. As soon as somebody sits down its fine!. Any ideas on cost to recalibrate the seat?
