Have you done anything yet?

I'm just in the process of completing the front bash plate, then I'll do the horns. Haven't had much free time lately to do these things.

This is the bash plate below. I cut out slots for air a bit larger to reduce weight of the chequer plate. Being chequer plate, it's much tougher than normal steel. I didn't use any alloy, didn't want to spend money buying a whole sheet. I got these made up from offcuts at work, cost nothing. I cut the slots to match the Jeep 7-slot grille.

The air horns & compressor will sit on top of it and will make connections with special plug connectors so I can unplug it when 4 wheeling or going into water.

I'll post some pics after it's mounted on the car.

Re: Airhorn, Compressor and Air Tank

If you custom fab'ed a box for the rear cargo area to store your towing stuff and the compressor thatd be pretty cool. That was its protected from the elements...

Re: Airhorn, Compressor and Air Tank

Cargo is a good option but I need that space quite regularly so it's gotta go on the outside. Also, I won't be installing any of those monster compressors either, just something to fit nicely to the bash plate.

Re: Airhorn, Compressor and Air Tank

I keep my horns next to the stock horn, Viair HD #10005 powers the system and it is awesome!
