Re: Also need some buyer advice

I thought it sounded pretty high, I'm going to ask the dealer to break it down so I can see what the $995 is actually for.
I'm also going to call another dealer and ask what their closing costs and so on are.

Re: Also need some buyer advice

when I bought my jeep they tried to put in a $75 document fee. I called them out on it and they instantly removed it because it wasn't part of the negotiated price. that was the only "closing cost" my dealer had

Yea 14k without closing costs is a good deal. I paid 14.5k without closing costs for my jeep which is an 05 with 20,000 more miles in Cali.

Re: Also need some buyer advice

Wait I'm confused, by the closing costs you just mean normal sales taxes and registration fees right?

Re: Also need some buyer advice

I told one of the owners, if I am exporting it to the virgin islands, Why am I paying sales taxes for florida, when I have to pay sales tax when it reaches the VI, thats double taxes and I barely have enough money to buy the car and ship it. I will then have to pay to register it in the VI also. I will definitely ask for a break down of this $995.00, thank you all again for your help in waking me up so I don't get ripped off.
I posted a picture of the jeep, but nobody said what they thought of it.

Re: Also need some buyer advice

Thank you WKFish, I have only seen it on the internet, when I go to see it in person I will decide if to dechrome it or not. If I do decide to dechrome it, what if its that chrome that is stuck on with the glue, how do I get that off?

Most people get black vinyl and wrap the window trim and that takes care of that. As for the trim people usually trade for the black Laredo trim but it's all about personal preference. Keep us updated!!

The chrome on the hood I'm not sure if that's a bug shield or air deflector.. I have never seen that before. The mirrors and grill could be plasti dipped or traded for basic stock black ones.

it is an overland so that is the overland grille. same as the srt but with a platinum shell instead of paint. it is 06 so it should all be platinum trim instead of chrome. I love the platinum trim, have it on my jeep (currently covered with plasti dip though)

Re: Also need some buyer advice

If it's a true Overland, in 06 nothing was chrome chrome. It was all satin, or brushed chrome....including the wheels. I paid $18K. out the door, for my 06 Overland, almost 4 years ago, and it only had 48K on it. Personally I think $11-12K would be more in the ball park, unless they've appreciated and not depreciated in value over the last few years. That would be nice though, now that I think about it.
