not that I look fo r stuff like that, but I did not notice anything when I was under the hood. My Jeep does not see many miles....8k or less in a year.

I will go look today, but its not an oil smell.

Closest thing to compare is burnt clutch, thats why some say its my brakes. Brakes are still OEM. I would even say it might smell like burnt rat piss. It happened on my old XJ.

Is it me or everything plastic on the new Jeeps is cheap and breaks easily?

not really sure what a burnt clutch smells like, but i get a weird smell every now and again in the SRT.. best way for me to describe it is un burnt Natural Gas, seems to only happen when i accel hard and with recirc off, but not every time

clutch smells almost like paper burning.

Just checked, engine is clean. Only has 55k miles.
