budget max: 2000-3000 (if less awesome)
for performance I would say power and fuel efficiency for now but ill take any suggestions...I'm pretty new to this "performance" thing so I would not know exactly what does what...so any ideas would be great

by the way thanks for the help

Re: Any Ideas Boys...i mean men?

for engine performance I would start with an intake and exhaust upgrade.

intake: i like K&N but there are a few for the 3.7. any of them is better than the stcok box.

exhaust: I would go to one or two local muffler shops and ask. get that 3.7 up in the air, tell them you want something smaller than whats there. not too small. and tell them goal is little or no drone. you can get something like that all installed for maybe 150 or a bit more. magnaflow is my preference.

next up is the TB: a good port and polish. contact fastman.com see if he has cores to swap. in other words, he has one like yours in stock, he sends to you with an extra core charge. you install his then send your old one (core) to him and he sends you back the core charge.

at this point a little chassis performance may feel necessary.
consider bilstein shocks and struts.
next up srt8 rear sway bar.

all this, still want more: contact MHP and see if they can tune your computer. i dont think superchips or anyone supports the 3.7 so thats only option i know of.

Re: Any Ideas Boys...i mean men?

no problem...i think someone is thinking of doing a turbo system, but i think that would be out of ur price range...you would have to upgrade everything in the engine...

Re: Any Ideas Boys...i mean men?

Your limited on what you can do with the 3.7L in terms of performance....buuut. The usual suspects listed above is a start.

- Cold Air Intake from K&N http://www.knfilters.com/search/prod...x?Prod=57-1545
- Throttle Body -http://www.thefastman.com/Throttlebodies37.asp
- Exhaust - ATM there is only catback kits or mufflers you can get welded on.
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MPE-16632/ << im getting this for my 4.7L but its good on the 3.7L as well
- Use Synthetic oil for your motor oil, its more expensive BUT you can pretty much double your change periods. I go the max the EVIC can go on the service clock. For oil filter, use top end fram, Wix, Napa Gold, K and N, Mobil 1, or amsoil. they cost more, but you get what you pay for.

If you really want to go all out. I bet the guys at North Coast Turbo Systems would be interested in building up a V6 and fittings some turbos on it :P (I'd say good-bye too all of that budget + more I bet then)

Good luck.. and don't be scared to ask questions.
