any rubbing with OME HD and 265/70/17? What about 285/70/17?

I am about to put on the OME HD 3" lift. If I get a 265/70/17, will there be no rubbing? (I am using AEV pintlers with a +10 offset). The 285/70/17 is about an inch larger.

I could really use some input from those that put 265/70/17 on and if they feel there is room for a 285/70/17.

I only want to purchase tires once for this rig. My last jeep I bought 5 sets of tires before I found the size I liked.

Re: any rubbing with OME HD and 265/70/17? What about 285/70/17?

I run 265/70/17 with no lift at all, and I have no rubbing issues.

I do have AEV Pintlers, and the Pinch-Weld mod was necessary.

Edit: No rubbing issues, but if I'm cruising down the interstate and hit a pothole, my tires scrub really badly on the top of my fender well. But that is to be expected.

You'll need to do the pinch weld and get either 1.25", 1.5" wheel spacers, or wheels with a different offset.
I ran 285/70/17's on mine with just the OME HD without issue.

Thanks! This is what I was hoping to hear. I already have AEV Pintlers with a +10mm offset. The pinchweld mod is easy and free which only makes it sweeter!
