Are the JGC wheel covers replacable?

I sustained some damage on the plastic covering on my 2007 JGC Overland. I can't seem to find a part number for the chrome plated plastic covers. I'll be really bummed if I have to replace the whole wheel for some damage to the plastic facad.

Does anyone know if they are replacable? Thanks!!!

They are not replaceable because I believe, but I wont swear to it, that Jeep essentially "super glued" them on.

Re: Are the JGC wheel covers replacable?

Swap it with your spare ... The overland is chrome clad which means, yes, each wheel has plastic chrome. You could get a cover for it but I would get one for all four to balance it out b/c most likely the cover will stick out further than the wheel did before.

There are a few here on ebay ... http://shop.ebay.com/i.html?Part%252...=p3286.c0.m282

Re: Are the JGC wheel covers replacable?

Yes I'm aware. It could be temporary, and I also wanted to show that they do exist (he was looking for a p/n).

Yeah like Elvis said mine seem to be held on with adhesive, I doubt there is a very good surface behind there, or any kind of finished surface

We do repair chrome clad aluminum rims such as the ones you see on Dodge Rams, Sebrings, Grand AM’s, and a lot of other GM and Chrysler [] models. This repair is limited to the aluminum lip with corrosion issues or gouges. To identify this type of chrome clad / chrome skin rims – you can tap on the chrome part and you’ll notice it’s made of hard plastic material.

Re: Are the JGC wheel covers replacable?

Thanks for all the replies!

Good idea on swapping it out for the spare. I got an appointment for some warranty service on Wednesday. I don't think the damage is a result of hitting something (it's right up near the ring outside the center cap), and for as meticulous as I am with my Jeep, I know it wasn't there the last time I washed it. It showed up on a cold drive home, just about the same time as the TPMS temporarily lost its signal to that tire. Maybe it's a factory defect!?

Re: Are the JGC wheel covers replacable?

Well, after closer examination, it looks like someone was trying to pry off my Jeep center cap in the wheel. Always a shame when a thief destroys something more valuable in pursuit of something of little value.

Re: Are the JGC wheel covers replacable?

i had a tire shop install new tires and when i came to pick up the car 3 of the center caps were missing and half of the lug nuts looked like regular bolts. i talked to the manager who said that the caps were only glued on and that they wouldnt replace them. he also said the stock lug nuts were just aluminum covers over regular bolts. i complained further and the company ended up replacing all of the center caps and all of my lug nuts for me. so replacements are easily available, you just have to glue them on.
