Best WK Front Hub Replacement to Purchase?

Hi Everyone and Happy New Year,

I'm a new member. My '07 WK has 110,000 miles on it and I'm rather certain one of the front wheel bearings is asking for attention. I hear a whining/humming noise that changes pitch with speed and a slight vibration through the steering wheel and floor boards.

The noise and vibration lessens considerably when I turn the steering wheel slightly to the left at constant speed and on left turn exit ramps. Am I correct in assuming it's the right (driver's side) hub making noise?

Also, What is the best aftermarket hub to purchase? I know most times you get what you pay for when it comes to replacement parts. I was planning to order from RockAuto and I was wondering if any one has experienced, or recommends the RAYBESTOS, TIMKEN or MOOG hub as a "best" hub to purchase. All three are priced within a few bucks.

Thanks

Re: Best WK Front Hub Replacement to Purchase?

I am looking to do this as well while I have everything torn apart this summer to replace lower ball joints. I am leaning towards the Timken or the SKF. It would be great to hear from someone who bought either of these from Rockauto and could verify where they are made. I would like one made in America.

I don't know where they are made, but I purchased two of the Timken about 45,000 miles ago and they have been fine.

Don't bother replacing just one...if one side is worn, the other is likely on its way out too.

I have to do this too! I got 112k on mine. I need a front diff bushing too....and an exhaust manifold gasket. I dont even wanna do it lol. For the hub, I think I am going to the dealer parts. Sometimes they are better.

OEM is what you want 99% of the time. It's what the car was designed for.

Bought Timken myself, however the kind i bought wasn't stamped with the "Timken" logo which made them way cheaper. I had a small shop put them on for about $400. Saved me a bunch of cash. Prices fluctuate on Amazon of course.

$119 each for the front hubs, Timken HA590036

$143 each for the rear hubs, model Timken HA590141
