Re: better gas mileage with xbars off?

In my old audi, I noticed I got better MPG (+2-3 mpg) when I took the roof racks off. Going to try it on the Jeep and see what happens, I only use the racks like twice a year anyways.

Re: better gas mileage with xbars off?

I always remove my cross bars for this reason, just seems like common sense. The issue is finding a place to store the things when they aren't needed.

funny, I ended up buying ladder hooks and screwing those in my garage wall, they seem to work well enough for holding up cross bars.
