So I bought some Bilstein HDs for the front and I was thinking about getting some Bilstein 5100s for the rear. Has anyone installed the 5100s? My goal is to level the suspension out and I know the HDs will give about a 3/8" boost all the way around. If I put 5100s in the rear then I could possibly adjust them so it's rides level. Correct?

Ok thanks. So what is the point of having shocks that only adjust in the front?

I have the 5100's. I have the front at the lowest 3/4 in setting and 5100 shocks in the rear. It leveled the jeep out nice if that's what your looking. You can always go to a higher setting in front and add a spacer in the back. I also added SRT sway bars and soon to add bwoody end links.

honestly you will need more than just the 4600s(HD) in the front, grab yourself a strut spacer as well. you will be justa bout level. the 5100s in the rear are NOT adjustable, only the fronts. but the 5100s and the 4600s have the same valving so you wont gain a boost from them in the rear.

i just replaced my worn HDs with another set of HDs, along with some XK coils front and rear and i still have a rake. i have a strut spacer installed up front with the hemi xk coils and the HDs, and its about a 1/2" or so lower in the front than the rear- the rear has the HDs and XK rear coils.

Nice looking jeep. Thats pretty much the look I'm going for. Thanks for your help.

It's crazy how just a little bump up in the front makes it look so much better, imo. Why did they design it to have a rake?

One other question. What's the max tire size I can run with Bilstein HDs and the JBA strut spacers in the front?

I'm looking at getting some 245/65/17. Could I go a size up with no rub?

you should be able to go 245/75, 255/70, 265/65.. or 245/70 for alittle smaller, but theyll look great.

ill be going 245/75 with a set of wheel spacers

This guy runs 255/70 with minimal rub and even says he has srt springs in the rear. Might just go with the 255/70 since I'll have Bilstein HDs plus the strut spacer. Should be fine.

I have HDs front and oem rear. Not level at all. If anything do 5100 at 3/4 front and HD rear or just get the benefit of the complete set and do 5100 front and rear. Thats what i wish i did. I'm doing 5100 rear soon but i wish the 5100 were available when i did my HD fronts years ago. I may do all 5100s next year.

That seems like the way to go for a level ride. I'm debating selling my HDs and getting some 5100s. Or I might just settle and buy the 1/4" spacers for the front.

I can't find anyone who has the 5100s in stock. Would have to wait until September probably.
