Thank you for your kind words sir

Headlights are looking good, and very unique tails you have.
yea i definetly agree i would do the upper window chrome moldings as well i think with the srt8 reps and all black look it would be really sharp as to all black laredo moldings.and also is that an srt you showed me or a completely converted limited or laredo?

Your plan sounds good although as for the window moldings, both the rear window quarter panels would have to be removed and replaced with the ones with chrome. Very costly, a member DAVY27 had done this though, and it looks well executed.

The jeep shown above is the SRT model.

I'll have a funny looking jeep for a couple of weeks.

I'm liking the lights. I've opened up the lights on a car before to paint and they are a pita. Idk if I'm ready to do that to the jeep though. I'm not trying to foot the bill right now for new lights if I mess up. I had to do the same with my wheels just because I didn't have the time to do them all at once. I started off with the spare so I would have a matching spare and so after the first wheel was done I'd have atleast 2 matching wheels on the vehicle. Just sux our spares are under the jeeps because unless you take it off and rinse it when you wash it, all that dirt and grime and sand and salt (in my area) sit on there and dine on your paint job. In retrospect, you should do extra coats of clear coat on your spare to protect it while its chilling up under the vehicle

With the lights, I ended up breaking a lot of the plastic on them, so to seal them back up I used a whole tube of silicone caulk. During the winter here I usually drop my spare atleast once a month to power wash the salt and sand off. Luckily, I have the full-size spare, but it is just a steel rim, not an alloy like the rest. I didn't think about clear coating the wheels, so I will do that too. Thanks for the tip!

yea thats why I'm not trying to get into all that right now.....yea. duplicolor has a wheel clear coat that holds up to the extra dirt and grime. I used engine paint, since the auto store I went to didn't have black wheel paint at the time, and wheel clear coat. The engine paint is made to deal with harsh dirt, oil, and chemicals too so I figured it'd be safe to go with. Still going strong almost a year into it.
