Re: Brake Upgrades

My situation may be a bit different from yours as I use my 2004 JGC Rocky Mountain Edition as my work vehicle to service mountain top cell towers. I replaced the stock rotors and Pads with the slotted and cross drilled rotors along with the EBC yellow pads. I was warping rotors and going through front and rear rotors and pads in less than a year.

Since the upgrade, I am still on the same rotors and pads a year since the replacement...no shake, no fade and more than 1/2 the pads are left on the front and read discs.

Hope this helps...

Re: Brake Upgrades

One more thing I forgot in the last post...I upgraded to the PowerStop slotted and cross drilled rotors.

Re: Brake Upgrades

Which PowerStop rotors? What's the difference between the gold and silver rotors?

Re: Brake Upgrades

After toasting two sets of OEM discs due to aggressive mountain driving I got a set of Raybestos R-300s. I am really happy with these discs and their performance.

Re: Brake Upgrades

Dammit. Lol. People keep throwing different brands on here.

I need a good set that won't blow a hole in my pocket. R1 Concepts and good? Anybody use those.

Brembo will definietly blow a whole in your pocket! But they look damn cool with the caliper painted

Re: Brake Upgrades

He meant PowerStop. There is a such thing. It's one of my options. It's either PowerStop or R1 Concepts.
