Brakes?

I got my 2007 Laredo last fall and now I'm due for brakes... I'm looking for a good (but not super $$$) set of brakes.

What brands/series brakes is everyone using? What should I NOT use?

Re: Brakes?

I recommend Mopar OEM, just search the internet for a deal use this website as a starting point: www.wkjeeps.com for part numbers and search from there. Are you going to do the brakes yourself? There are write-ups on Jeep Garage with plenty of information, too.

Re: Brakes?

Yes. I typically do the brakes on every vehicle (this is my first attempt for the WK). I've got my research on wkjeeps.com

I just wondered what everyone is using with success. I'm in the Virginia Beach / Norfolk area so it's heavy traffic with varying temperatures.

Re: Brakes?

Dude go look on ebay for drill and slotted brakes. That is what I got and only payed I think $225 for 4-Drilled/Slotted Rotors and Brake Pads. The best deal ever not to mention I love the stopping power let alone the look.

Talk about traffic....It takes me 20 minutes in the morning to move 2 miles around the Northern, VA!

I just bought some rear pads from Advanced Auto Parts. I bought the Wagner Thermoquiet Pads and just slapped them on. I actually feel the difference because I was almost metal to metal on my rear brakes!
