Brakes

Well its time for new brakes. What's everyone using? Not looking to spend 300 on a set

Re: Brakes

R1 are a waste of money for anything short of an srt-8 and even then theyre questionable unless you're racing it.

get some thermoquiet pads and some stock rotors you'll be set.

Re: Brakes

So you're saying I don't need Stop Tech rotors or anything expensive for good braking performance? Just oem rotors and some good pads?

Re: Brakes

If you're just looking for everyday use OEM or slightly better quality, I've had good performance out of NAPA Ultra Premium line (rotors and pads). Slightly more expensive than regular "OEM" quality parts but last much longer than OEM.

Neat thing about these rotors, the exposed parts are painted black, so no rusty rotor parts showing through your wheels.

Re: Brakes

Will the ThermoQuiets work with drilled slotted rotors? Or no?

Re: Brakes

they will. just picked up a set myself from rockauto.com (cheapest I found) and they shipped same day. PLUS you get a $30 MIR when you buy the front and rear sets.
