Bridgestone Blizzak WS70

Has anybody tired running the bridgestone blizzaks? I have been on a budget and tire rack has this package deal or whatever. Anyway I was curious to hear about anyones experiences with the blizzaks in summer and winter.

Re: Bridgestone Blizzak WS70

I'm running blizzaks. Love 'em. Had for two years. Only run them in the winter. December through March. I think mine are the DMV1s or something like that. They are not as loud as I would have expected, and handle just fine. But they have been killer for me this winter considering the amount of snow we have been getting in NJ. Especially here in hoboken where the roads are shit and parking is worse than nyc.

Re: Bridgestone Blizzak WS70

Blizzaks are strictly a winter tire that is highly siped (http://sipers.com/, check out all the videos) and made of a softer rubber that doesn't harden as much in cold temperatures. You can get traditional tires siped and it will help somewhat, but not as much as the Blizzaks. I run siped (by the tire dealer) all season tires on all my vehicles.

Re: Bridgestone Blizzak WS70

Yeah, You def dont want to run them in the summer since they are recommended for 45 and below!

Im not sure about the WS70s, but I have the DMV1s and they work AMAZING!!!

Re: Bridgestone Blizzak WS70

thanks guys i was curious. just researching tires b/c im not going to go wheeling in this GC most likely my next one. just looking for an aggressive thread tire b/c here in missouri we get it all and it comes out of no where. when i bought my GC from a used dealer they put one brand new Ironman a/p. never heard of them and was really sketchy about them but this private label has done well. just want the name brand.

Re: Bridgestone Blizzak WS70

WS70s are for cars and DM-V1s are for SUVs/light trucks
