Re: Broke off my skid plate.. didn't even realize.

yep, I traded my plastic skid plate for a metal one also, you would think that having a 4x4 jeep that all the skid plates would be metal instead of plastic.

I literally have no idea, I do very light offroading only a few times a year Maybe I hit something once and forgot but I don't really recall anything of any serious impact. I cringe when I bottom out a vehicle, just that feeling of the underbody scraping along the ground bugs me so I try to avoid it. I don't think i'll replace it anytime soon though, winter is comming (already snowed here once) maybe in the spring.

Re: Broke off my skid plate.. didn't even realize.

The plastic one isn't a skid plate.

It's a splash guard that doesn't work too well as a splash guard.

You should buy a new 2011 jeep with steel skid plates like the commercial shows.

suzieque is a name known to all
Re: Broke off my skid plate.. didn't even realize.

I think the part number of the steel plate is 82208713.

I would like the part number of the plastic plate if you have happen to find it.
