Build (Prep) Thread

After reading Omelet, Lucas J and JeepCoops to name a few, I've decided to start building out my WK. So while the parts are on order, I need some advice on what things to prep.

What I have so far is a Westin bull bar with lights, Addco swaybars front and rear and Stillen cross-drilled rotors and pads.

I plan to add a roof rack (Gobi) with a handful of forward and rear lights (rigid) as well as the Matrix front guard to replace my Westin bullbar. I also plan to install the front, rear and belly guard from 4xguard as well. I'm not a heavy wheeler, but I'd like to know the protection is there when I need it.

Most everything is still a few weeks out, so I plan to take this time to clean things up a bit before I start adding gear. Once the roof rack goes up, I don't plan on washing the roof beyond whatever the pressure washer can blow off, so I was thinking some sort of hard enamel protection, but I'm not sure POR-15 Blackcoat would be sufficient up there or should I go with something like a bedliner? At most I have a few chips in the clear-coat and a bunch of dimples from a hail storm.

On the belly, I have a bit of rust to contend with. I plan on tackling that with POR products (Marine clean/Metal Ready/Rust protection), but I'm not sure if I should take a wire brush to all the affected surfaces to clean it up or go full on bare metal with the POR-15 paint stripper. Also once I put on the rust protection, is it necessary to cap it off with the same blackcoat top coat? And as far as the belly goes, should I put some POR protection on the 4xguard pieces before installing them?
