Re: Build thread: 'The Money Pit'

Only mechanical damage is e-brake shoes need replacing. Other than that, bumper, fender flare & an alloy / tyre. Luckily as my jeep is lifted, the other car didn't catch anything fuel related or main bodywork. The trouble is, the parts on mine are near impossible to get so i'm currently being quoted $4750 to fabricate & paint the replacement. I'm not too bothered to be completely honest as I don't get emotionally attached to my cars but annoyed because my back is killing me, loads of extra paperwork & I really am struggling to sort whilst running 2 businesses. Needless to say, I might not be on here much for the next month but hopefully it will all get sorted & the madness can continue

Re: Build thread: 'The Money Pit'

Its back!! Insurance charge to other guy was approx $20200 in the end but its back to being absolutely immaculate Will be fitting my customised cargo basket this week & relocating my second fuel filler neck to behind the fuel door so I don't have to climb under the Jeep like an idiot at the gas station lol. Pictures should start flowing again soon

Re: Build thread: 'The Money Pit'

Its never ending !! Today did Royal Purple transmission oil, Royal Purple front and rear diff oils and Engine oil with K&N oil filter.

Then took off the winter wheels stock 17" with Cooper Discoverer, rims powder coated gloss black.
Put on the summer wheels SRT rims with Pirelli Scorpion Verde, Powder coated metallic dark grey.
Followed by a good wash down.

Re: Build thread: 'The Money Pit'

Turns out my hub & wheel bearing was damaged in the accident & no one picked up on it. Something else to add my costs Not the most expensive of parts but still annoying as i'm now having to cover it when the accident wasn't my fault. Grrr

Re: Build thread: 'The Money Pit'

Kinda. Had it back (for the 3rd time) about an hour now. Been back to get overspray sorted, hub / wheel bearing was shot (which wasn't picked up on as thought it was just the handbrake shoe making the noise). Almost there now though but going back in Tuesday to get the replacement wheel matched to the others as the colour is slightly different, then back in Friday to get my side skirt lights sorted. Come next weekend, all will be well but in the mean time, at least it's back & useable
