Bwoody non-SRT links w/ OME lift?

Hi guys, I'm getting tired of the clunk in the front of my WK when I turn the wheel and pull up into the driveway. I've had it in numerous times, and no one can find the issue. They all say ball joint's tight, as are tie rods, and links. I'm thinking it's possibly the sway bar links, so I'm thinking about ordering the Bwoodys.

Question is, I'm stock ride height currently, but am planning on an OME in the distant future. Am I going to need longer links in the future, or are the stock length ones ok?

Re: Bwoody non-SRT links w/ OME lift?

How high is the OME lift? If I remember correctly you can use the non-srt bwoody sway links for anything up to 3" of lift...keep in mind BWoody can make them any height you want...so you can either buy them now and sell them to a WK owner once you get the lift and get new ones, or wait it out...

Hopefully Scott or Acid will chime in, they will know for sure...

Thanks Brad, I believe the OME is around 3", but I didn't know if the geometry was going to be off if I went with stock length ones.

I hadn't considered reselling them to a fellow Jeeper when I upgrade later.

Re: Bwoody non-SRT links w/ OME lift?

I know there would be someone on here that would want them...esp if you get a years use out of them and then sell them for a reduced price if they end up not working out...just get a neutral color!

Re: Bwoody non-SRT links w/ OME lift?

For optimal performance, you should match your end links to your lift (or lowering). If you lift it 3", you should get end links that are 3" longer. Sway bars are designed to operate best at a certain angle for your static ride height. Changing your height, and consequently, that angle, could limit your limit your suspension travel.

Could you get away with using stock length end links? Plenty of people do, but I wouldn't do it. I want everything perfect, especially suspension components.

As far as the clunk goes, are any of the sway bar bushings worn?

Thanks for the info JDubya. I'm not sure if my sway bar bushings are worn, but I am planning on doing the endlinks, and SRT sways front and rear with new bushings at the same time.

I'll just order stock length links now, and then order longer ones when I do the lift.
