There are anchors on the back of the seats and there are 4 anchors on the front of the seats with the little dots at each anchor location but nothing on the front in the middle. But if i use the rear facing seat in the middle i need to use the seat belt right? The rear anchors are for forward facing seats.

Congrats and good luck bro!
That's the same setup we have and my daughters name is Hailey also, she's now 5 and loves to ride in the Jeep. Her favorite thing is to say "Dad go fast"!

Correct. The car seat base (rear facing) uses the seat belt, the carriage / carrier snaps into that pretty snug. For the forward facing, the clips on the seat are long / extend enough to use the 2 black anchors towards the middle, in combination with the seat belt as well.

Re: Car seats (new born +)

all my seats have came with belts that snap into the anchors. The base is all that will snap into the anchors on the rear facing

Re: Car seats (new born +)

The car seat we have uses the anchor strap and it is a rear facing one. Our one and only is four months old but is 22#'s so we had to change his seat to a larger one. It uses the anchor system as well and it faces the rear too.

Re: Car seats (new born +)

I am learning from reviews and other peoples input that the 30lb seats are not really worth it because most babies though under 30lbs are too tall before they hit the 30lb mark so i may just stick to the same seat combo i posted above but for the standard weight not the 30lb.

Re: Car seats (new born +)

I agree. I had to go ahead with the bigger seat myself after graduating from the 20# seat. My son just turned 4 months old and doctor said he was the size of a 10-1/2 month old. He is above the 97% in weight and 94% in length. I just can't wait until we can face his seat forward. They say 20# + AND a year old. Good grief, he'll be 60# by a year old. I'll have to get him to duck so I can see out of the back glass.

We were told 20lbs and atleast able to stand up on their own. We put our daughter in the forward facing at right under 11 months if I remember right. She was fine, but that decision is totally up to you.

And damn, Hailey is already 2 and she's only 28lbs! LOL you got a big boy there bro!

Re: Car seats (new born +)

Congrat's. I too had the same issues with a big boy. We had him the Preggo rear facing as long as we could but then switched to the Britax Marathon which can be used both rear and forward facing. We had the Britax in the middle 'till we had our second and i can vouch that the head rest interferes with the Britax Marathon.
