I am a fairly new member, but i read a lot of posts and I love the website. I have done other brake jobs and have never had any issues. I got the wheel off and the caliper off, but how do I get the rotor off? Do i need to take the axle nut off? And if so does anyone know what size of socket for the Axel nut. That looks like what i have to do. But I rather get input first before I maybe do an extra step. Thank You for your time guys.
what the aboves are saying is that even after the o-ring is off, SOMETIMES the rotor is still difficult to remove. what happened is that it has galled to the hub. (meaning its stuck) and using a dead blow hammer will help to break it loose. galling is a reaction between 2 different metals, anyway, just give it a good whack an it will come loose.
