Cheap plastic WTF

The lower plastic molding beneath the seat belt (on the side) has some scratches from getting in and out of the car. It doesnt look bad but its annoying. Is this common or a defect?

Re: Cheap plastic WTF

In 07 or 08+ they started to use a different plastic inside the WK that is supposed to be better but ive never had any experience with it.

Trust me it pisses me off too. I have tons of spots that are scratched in my limited and it makes me crazy. especially in the back because i always have tools and such back there.

I dont have any problems with scratched plastic..yet.. I wrap anything I have to haul in the back with bath towels to protect the plastic, I do however have a small scratch on the faux aluminum trim by the climate control, how can you fix it, its not very noticeable but it still bugs me..

Re: Cheap plastic WTF

I HATE HATE HATE the plastic in these things but at least in 08 or whenever they decided black could hide its ugliness and scratches compared to that stupid discontinued slate gray or whatever it was! Leather FTW!

You could also Neffy wrap it or get some 3M Di-Noc, both would do the trick!
