Cigarette burn on leather and suede

Gf who does not smoke anymore... accidentally flicked a cigarette out the window that landed on the passenger seat she was sitting in. Go figure
the burn is right in between the leather and suede part, any tips on how to repair this?

Re: Cigarette burn on leather and suede

Sounds best to get a professional. I'd call up your local dealer and ask who they use for leather repair. A lot of times they will just travel to you.

Re: Cigarette burn on leather and suede

I THOUGHT you could order just the material for the bottom section and replace that section (it unzips from back as well as some other attachments), but sounds like you want to repair not factory replacement?

Thats what I have too. We have to get the whole bottom portion of the seat. And I have an Overland so I'm sure that won't be cheap! Haha

Re: Cigarette burn on leather and suede

I have a Rocky Mountain Edition with the two-tone khaki and brown seats. Probably impossible to buy it (new), and impossible to find it.

Re: Cigarette burn on leather and suede

IT is a total waste of time and money to go through the dealer for anything. Just go to an upholstery shop and they will repair it for a fraction of what the dealer would charge. Replacement seat cover is around $400, while a repair job is probably $75.

Re: Cigarette burn on leather and suede

I asked about a repair and they can basically fill in the crack from the underside. The problem is its a temp fix. Can last 2 days or 10 years... Id rather get the bottom portion, and do it that way. Lemme see if I can find a link...

OMG I just almost sh!t my pants at these prices.... WTF?!

May have to do that repair sheeyat
