Re: Clean Dash

used to use soap and water with a wash rag on the corvette, now I use the meguires regular interior detailer... No residue, no ricer shine, just clean.

I may be wrong but wouldn't soap and water dry out the plastic? Nothing wrong with that method otherwise... Just wondering...

Now that you say that I think I'm thinking more rubber seals... I know older ones would wear out and crack... I try to put something on mine to keep them from doing that and flattening out...

This, newer cars do not need "protection" and are 9 times out of 10 better off if you don't use silicone based stuff on them that will eventually do more harm than good. Dashes have come a long way since the days of needing to keep them lubed up with Armor-All. Just my .02
